Description
The Nanlite V-Lock Battery Adapter for Sony NPF Batteries is an innovative battery adaptor enables you to power a large light with smaller, cost-effective L Series batteries. Rather than use a large single V-Lock battery, this adaptor allows you to use two Sony L series batteries. This is an ideal solution for travelling on planes, as the L Series batteries are below the 100Wh limit there is no need to declare the smaller L Series Lithium batteries.
2 x 6000mAh Sony L Series batteries, such as NP-F970, have the equivalent capacity of one 84Wh V-Lock battery. Runtime from two NP-F970 batteries will be similar to one 85Wh V-Lock battery. Depending on the draw of your light, the runtime may be slightly less: at high power output, the L series will not provide the same amperage as a V-Lock battery, whereas at the lower light output (lower power draw) the runtime will be similar. The real-time test saw two NPF-970 batteries power for 1 hour and 12 minutes.
