Fast aperture and nine-blade circular diaphragm The lightning-fast aperture of the Sigma 18-35mm enables you to shoot at fast shutter speeds, no matter what your focal length, resulting in reduced camera shake and controlled depth of field. Not a common trait in a standard zoom lens, you can now shoot a stunning portrait with only your model in sharp focus. To further assist you down this path is a nine-blade circular aperture diaphragm, which assures all of your out-of-focus areas are of a beautiful appearance, with no distracting qualities. Further construction details Sigma's excellent Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) makes another welcome appearance, resulting in focus that is accurate and importantly, fast and quiet.
