The Zoom F8n Multi-Track Field Recorder is a professional-grade portable audio solution designed for location sound recording, filmmaking, music production, and electronic news gathering. Featuring eight XLR/TRS combo inputs with up to 75 dB of gain and low-noise preamps (-127 dBu EIN), the F8n delivers pristine audio capture in the field. Record up to 10 tracks simultaneously (8 individual inputs plus stereo mix) at resolutions up to 24-bit, 192 kHz. The recorder includes dual SD card slots for redundant recording, built-in timecode generation and synchronisation, Zoom's AutoMix automatic level adjustment, and look-ahead limiters to prevent clipping. A large colour LCD display with mixer-style faders provides intuitive control, whilst flexible powering options via 8 AA batteries, external DC packs, or the included AC adapter ensure extended operation.
