Courvoisier XO Royal Cognac 700ml

Courvoisier XO is the extra old expression from one of the great houses of the Cognac region in south-western France, a maison whose history is famously entwined with the imperial court of Napoleon. It is a luxurious marriage of beautifully matured eaux-de-vie, presented in Courvoisier's distinctive curved decanter.

The blend draws on very old spirit from the celebrated Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus, lifted by the floral character of the Borderies, with the components patiently aged in French oak for well over a decade. This long maturation gives the cognac its remarkable depth, velvety texture and layered aromatic bouquet.

Intensely aromatic, it opens with jasmine and iris florals alongside crème brûlée, candied orange and dried apricot. The palate is rich and rounded, offering apricot tart, butterscotch, vanilla, ginger and roasted hazelnut, before a long, smooth finish laced with seasoned oak, honeyed sweetness and a touch of orange zest.
