Description
A prime, portrait lens for the E-Mount
The ever-growing Sony E-Mount lens lineup has a new entry in the form of this portrait friendly FE 85mm f1.8 F. Designed for use on the premium full-frame range the lens can also be used on the popular APS-C models, where a more magnified view is experienced. Great for experimenting freely with differing depths of fields and for shooting in dark scenarios, this lens features a bright f1.8 maximum aperture. The out of focus areas that are so easy to create are fine in appearance, owing to a rounded 9-blade aperture diaphragm.
The Sony compact system camera range is remarkably versatile with many photographers from all walks of life and from varying interests being invested in the system and this short-telephoto prime lens is just as flexible. A double linear AF motor provides Autofocus that is smooth, quiet and importantly very fast, suiting users interested in photographing still life objects, fast moving subjects, and users who are using the full-featured video modes of their E-Mount camera.
Other Key Features
- Customisable Focus Hold button - Hold focus position or control other lens functions VIA a conveniently placed button on the lens barrel
- Optical construction - 9 elements in 8 groups, including an extra-low dispersion element, resulting in sharp and clear images, free from colour fringing and chromatic aberrations
