Schleich African Elephant Male

Elephant bulls are considerably larger than female elephants, reaching heights of up to four metres. They are among the largest land animals, second only to giraffes in height, and can weigh between five to six tonnes.

African elephant bulls typically leave their herd at around twelve years of age. By this stage, they are independent enough to find their own food and protect themselves, often travelling alone or in small groups of other males.

These impressive animals roam in search of new herds, showcasing their strength and adaptability in the wild.

Fun Fact: Elephants can recognise their own reflection, making them one of the very few animals with this ability.
