The Canon EOS 650D is a wonderful addition to Canon's entry-level DSLR range, featuring a host of advanced functionality that would often be acquainted with a higher-end model, but the same ease of use that we have come to expect from the beginner models. At the centre of the camera is a high-sensitivity 18MP APS-C sensor, which performs excellently well in all lighting conditions, thanks to the wide ISO range of 100-12800, and the fact that images at the higher ISOs are remarkably low in noise. This sensor also makes available Full HD resolution video recordings, while a speedier-than-previous-models continuous shooting rate of 5 frames per second, makes the 650D more suitable for sports shooting. At the rear of the 650D is a 3-inch vari-angle LCD screen, which is great for selfies and composing images at tricky angles. This screen is also touch-sensitive, which allows you to touch focus, pinch and swipe when reviewing images, and to easily navigate the menu system. Perfect for beginners, Canon's scene intelligent auto is available, automatically detecting the appropriate shooting settings for any given scene, so your images look like you know how to tackle any scenario, even if you are not quite sure just yet!
