Description

As published by BoozeBud

The V&A Lane range from Wynns Coonawarra Estate celebrates the vineyards along the surveyed road that cuts through the middle of Coonawarra's terra rossa strip. These wines are made in a fresher, earlier-picked style, matured in larger-format seasoned oak to keep the fruit and the region's red-earth signature to the fore. This is a lighter, more floral expression of Coonawarra Shiraz, full of energy. Cherry, raspberry and redcurrant lead the way, with plum, a cherry-cola lift and a dusting of dark chocolate and dried spice. Medium-bodied and fresh, it is shaped by firm, linear tannins that give it drive and a savoury, moreish finish. A versatile red for the table, at home with charcuterie, roast duck or a tomato-rich pasta. Serve at cool room temperature. Vintages may vary.
