Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Heritage Barrel is a premium Tennessee whiskey that celebrates the earliest traditions of the distillery's barrel making. As a single barrel release, every bottle is drawn from one individually selected cask, so each carries its own subtle character while staying true to the Jack Daniel's hallmark. The name refers to a distinctive barrel treatment inspired by heritage cooperage methods. Where standard barrels are lightly toasted before charring, these Heritage barrels are given a much longer, high-toast and low-char treatment, developing a deeper, richer toasted layer inside the oak before charring. The whiskey is made from the classic mash bill of corn, malted barley and rye, then mellowed drop by drop through sugar maple charcoal in the time-honoured Lincoln County Process. Filled into the barrel at a lower strength and matured in the highest reaches of the Lynchburg barrelhouses, it develops a soft oak aroma, warm honey and candied fruit across the palate, and a lingering finish of brown sugar. Rich, rounded and full of toasted-oak warmth, it rewards slow sipping neat or over a single large cube.
