Jimmy Jack — Code Breaker. Solve the code in 12 turns or less!

One player sets a secret code. The other has twelve tries to crack it. That's the whole game — and it's kept people hunched over the board arguing about logic for generations.

The codemaker hides a row of coloured pegs behind the shield. The codebreaker guesses, and after each attempt gets a row of small black and white pegs back: right colour in the right place, right colour in the wrong place, or nothing at all. No hints beyond that. Every guess narrows the field, if you read it properly.

It's pure deduction — no reading, no luck, no cards to draw. Just a grid, a hidden answer, and the slow satisfaction of ruling things out until only one possibility survives. Then you swap roles and try to build a code that stumps them back.

Fast to teach, genuinely hard to master, and quietly brutal on anyone who guesses without thinking.
