The Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f/0.95 is a manual focus prime lens designed for the Micro Four Thirds camera system, compatible with bodies from Panasonic, Olympus, and other MFT manufacturers. With its remarkably fast f/0.95 maximum aperture, it delivers a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 50mm — a classic 'normal' field of view — while excelling in low-light shooting and producing strikingly shallow depth of field with beautifully smooth, creamy bokeh. The optical formula comprises 11 elements in 8 groups, and a 10-blade diaphragm contributes to exceptionally smooth out-of-focus rendering. Built to a high standard with an all-metal barrel construction, the Nokton 25mm f/0.95 features a Selective Aperture Control System that allows the photographer to switch between a traditional clicked aperture ring and a stepless, de-clicked mode — ideal for smooth, silent exposure transitions during video recording. The non-rotating 52mm filter thread makes it straightforward to use with polarising or graduated filters, while a hyperfocal distance scale aids in zone focusing. A close focusing distance of just 17cm further adds to the lens's versatility, making it a compelling choice for portraiture, street photography, and cinematic video work.
