As well as the AF system, the A9 is capable of a blisteringly fast continuous shooting speed of 20 frames per second, which allow you to fire off a multitude of frames of a subject on the go, to be sure to capture the best split-second of the action. Also on board to make the most of the fast AF system, is the UHD 4K video mode, which utilises full pixel readout, for maximum quality. Inside this camera, making all of the discussed functionality possible, is a 24.2 full-frame stacked CMOS sensor, and BIONZ X image processor. Images produced by this combination are high in resolution, and low in image noise, allowing you to shoot seriously with the extended ISO of 204,800. Physically, the A9 is rugged and reliable, while still retaining the portability that has rendered this series of Sony mirrorless cameras so popular. 5-axis image stabilisation is on board, keeping results sharp and blur-free, while a high-speed, high-resolution EVF sits alongside a tilting and touch-sensitive LCD screen, for your compositional freedom.
