Ron Barceló Gran Añejo Rum 700ml

Ron Barceló Gran Añejo is a smooth, richly aged rum from the Dominican Republic, produced from sugarcane grown in the island's fertile valleys. Barceló is one of the country's most respected rum houses, and the Gran Añejo has long been a benchmark for approachable, well-rounded Dominican rum.

The rum is a blend of spirits matured for up to six years in ex-bourbon oak casks, which lend it a warm amber colour and a depth of flavour balanced by a semi-dry body.

The nose is inviting, with chocolate, vanilla and buttered caramel wrapped around toasted nuts and sweet spice. The palate follows through with caramel, toasted coconut, cinnamon and clove, before a long, gentle finish of oak and lingering caramel. It is equally at home sipped over ice or as the heart of a premium cocktail.
