This refresh of the Daiwa Infeet S Spinning Rod range is a total overhaul, with new technologies and upgrades that take it to the next level. The range now features Daiwa’s Nanoplus resin blank technology, upgraded from HVF to create blanks that are much lighter and stronger than before. The Airsensor reel seats greatly reduce the weight, and Fuji Fazlite anti-tangle guides finish them off with fantastic performance with braided line or straight through fluorocarbon. Each model is designed to handle a specific situations. The 6101LFS is a tight-cover specialist that’s built for fishing against floating structures, with a sensitive tip and fast taper. Great for fishing grubs or small minnows against structure. The 702ULFS is a reworking of the fan-favourite 732ULFS from the Infeet Z series, with a shorter length that makes it perfect for small topwater lures like the Slippery Dog 65f. It’s a great ultra-light soft plastics option with a softer overall action that’s more suited to unweighted-1/20th jig head rigged soft plastics. The 702LFS is the all-rounder of the range. This fast-action do-everything option is best with soft plastics and weights from 1/20th to 1/8th oz. The Nanoplus resin gives it more sensitivity than the previous series. If you get just one, get the 702LFS.The 722ULRS is a crankbait lover’s dream, perfect for micro-crankbaits like the Rollin’ Crank and Infeet Kodachi. It’s best used in open sandy bottom flats with minimal structure. The softer UL taper will protect even the timidest hooksets, and with straight through fluorocarbon it’s a pleasure to use with treble hook baits. The 722LRS is an upgrade from the old 722LRS with the length extended to 7ft 2in, making it a long-casting slow-taper crankbait machine. It’s best for larger crankbaits and hardbody lures, with extra stiffness that’ll come in handy against more gnarly structure. Finally, the 752LFS extends the old fan-favourite 732LFS to a new 7ft 5in length. The extra length makes it perfect for using plastics in deeper water. It’s best used with 1/6 to 1/8oz jigheads, with the perfect tip to impart subtle action and enough backbone to set the hook at a long distance. A standout option from the range and the most requested from the Daiwa pro team.
