Reschke Wines is a family-owned Coonawarra producer that has been growing premium fruit on the famous terra rossa soils of South Australia's far south-east for more than three decades. The Bull Trader Shiraz is the everyday expression in the Reschke portfolio, named with a nod to the family's pastoral and cattle-trading heritage and crafted to showcase the warmth and structure of Coonawarra Shiraz. Deep ruby in the glass, the bouquet leads with blackberry and dark cherry, layered with dark chocolate and a wisp of toasty spice from the oak. The palate is full-bodied yet supple, with rich mouth-filling fruit, polished tannins and a long, concentrated finish. Maturation across a mix of French and American oak barrels and hogsheads for around eighteen months adds depth without overshadowing the cool-climate elegance of the fruit. A natural match for char-grilled rib eye, slow-cooked beef cheek, lamb roast or aged hard cheeses.
