This Pale Ale comes from Mismatch Brewing Co, the independent Adelaide Hills brewery established in 2012 and based at the Lot 100 site it shares with The Hills Cider Co and 78 Degrees Distillery. Mismatch has built its reputation on consistent, balanced beers made with a flavour-over-power approach. An American-style pale ale, it pours deep gold to light amber beneath a persistent off-white head. A malt base of light caramel and biscuit is layered with citrus, stone fruit and subtle tropical notes, with hints of bubblegum and soft melon adding complexity, drawn from hops including Super Pride, Mosaic, Blanc, Rakau and Moutere. Medium-bodied and structured, it closes with a firm, dry bitterness.
