Dalmore King Alexander III Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

The Dalmore King Alexander III is one of the most distinctive releases from the celebrated Highland distillery, named after the Scottish king whose life was said to have been saved by a Mackenzie ancestor from a charging stag, the legend behind The Dalmore's famous antlered emblem.

What sets this single malt apart is its extraordinary multi-cask maturation. The spirit is drawn together from six different cask types, including ex-bourbon barrels, Matusalem oloroso sherry butts, Madeira barrels, Marsala casks, Port pipes and wine casks that once held Cabernet Sauvignon. Master distiller expertise is required to marry these elements into a seamless whole.

The result is richly layered and elegant, with aromas of orange and citrus giving way to raisin, toffee and milk chocolate. The palate is creamy and velvety, offering red berries, marmalade, hazelnut and bittersweet chocolate, all carried through to an exceptionally long yet gentle finish.
