Driving the lens is an STM stepper motor, which allows quick and quiet performance with a minimum focusing distance of 16.9". A de-clickable aperture ring allows you to quickly switch between smooth stepless and precise stepped aperture adjustment. For improved clarity and color neutrality, the lens employs two extra-low dispersion elements, two high-refraction elements, and one aspherical element, as well as an HD nano multicoating.
