Jetty Road Brewery sits in the Dromana industrial estate on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, taking its name from a quiet coastal road near where the brewery now stands. Founded by a group of Peninsula locals and led by head brewer Blake Bowden, the team spent years refining recipes and contract brewing before opening their Dromana venue at the end of 2017, then commissioning their own brewhouse on site the following year. This is the brewery's flagship beer, an American style pale ale crafted to be sessionable rather than aggressive. The palate is crisp and clean, sliding across soft and rounded with a subtle, satisfying bitterness underneath. Tropical fruit and citrus lead the aromatics, with a touch of resin on the close. Brewed on a lean malt base with generous late hop additions of Mosaic and Simcoe, the US varieties responsible for the beer's candied tropical fruit and citrus character.
