Amrut Neidhal is a peated Indian single malt from Amrut, the pioneering distiller based in Bangalore that helped put Indian whisky on the world map. Its name is drawn from ancient Tamil literature, where Neidhal refers to the oceans and the coastal lands, a fitting theme for a whisky built around maritime character.

This peated expression carries a distinctly coastal personality, with soft phenols and a briny, sea-spray freshness woven through layers of tropical fruit. It reflects Amrut's willingness to explore different styles while staying true to the bold, expressive spirit that has made the distillery famous.

The nose leads with tropical fruit and vanilla, lifted by gentle smoke and a clear note of salt and fresh sea air, with oranges and banana beneath. The palate is chewy and complex, moving through vanilla, melon, spice and woody notes, with grapefruit bitterness giving way to green pear and sweeter tropical tones. The finish is long and phenolic, softened by a touch of sweet vanilla.
