The two-flute design ensures smooth and accurate drilling with automatic deburring - resulting in burr free drilling without sheet deformation. No pilot hole is required. A very hard gold coloured, Titanium Nitride, surface finish a few microns thick is achieved by Physical Vapour Deposition. As with all surface coated tools, performance will deteriorate after resharpening. The coating helps dissipate heat and reduces friction and cold welding. Higher speed and feed rates can be achieved and life expectancy is greatly increased.
