Rocky Road Brownie Stout is a pastry stout from Gweilo, the craft brewery founded in Hong Kong in 2014 and named after the Cantonese term for Westerners. Now brewing across Asia, Australia and beyond, Gweilo has built a reputation for bold, dessert-inspired beers, and this one sets out to capture rocky road and chocolate brownie in a glass. It is built on a complex base of barley, wheat, oats and rye for a full, rich body. Dark chocolate and chewy fudge lead the way, with cocoa balanced by a touch of milk sugar. Layers of toasted marshmallow and crushed almond round it out, echoing the classic sweet-shop treat it is named after.
