Ballantine's Finest is the whisky that launched one of Scotland's most recognisable blends, and it remains the oldest recipe in the Ballantine's range. The house traces its roots to 1872, when George Ballantine established his whisky business, while the blend itself was first created in 1910. Its early reputation was cemented when the family earned a Royal Warrant in 1895. This is a classic blended Scotch built from around fifty single malts and a handful of single grain whiskies, drawn from four distinct Scottish whisky regions. At its heart sit the signature malts of Miltonduff and Glenburgie, whose character gives Ballantine's its unmistakable style. The result is soft, elegant and beautifully balanced. Gentle heather honey and a whisper of spice lead the way, followed by flavours of milk chocolate, red apple and vanilla. It closes with a fresh, floral and rounded finish that has made it a favourite for sipping and mixing alike.
